The manufacturing process of the stainless steel porous sintered filter cartridge
1. Stainless Steel Powder Selection: The process starts with carefully selecting high-quality stainless steel powder, typically SS304 or SS316L. The powder should have the desired particle size distribution and chemical composition to meet the specific requirements of the filter cartridge.
2. Molding: The mixed powder is then subjected to a molding process, where it is compressed under high pressure. This pressure compacts the powder particles and gives the desired shape to the filter cartridge.
3. Sintering: Sintering involves heating the compacts to a temperature below their melting point but high enough to allow solid-state diffusion between the stainless steel particles. This process bonds the particles, forming a porous structure with interconnected pores.
4. Post-Treatment: After sintering, the filter cartridges may undergo additional post-treatment processes for improved performance. These processes can include surface finishing, such as polishing or coating, to enhance corrosion resistance or optimize filtration properties.
5. Quality Control and Testing: Throughout manufacturing, rigorous quality control measures are implemented to ensure the final product meets the required specifications. Testing methods may include pore size distribution analysis, filtration efficiency testing, pressure resistance testing, and dimensional inspections.
