60um Sintered Stainless Steel Powder Pneumatic Muffler
Diameter: 13.5mm
Length: 29mm
Interface: G1/8"
Sintered stainless steel powder Pneumatic muffler is a device used to reduce noise in gas flow. It is made of stainless steel powder through a sintering process and has a specific pore structure, which can effectively absorb and attenuate noise in the airflow.
This type of muffler is usually used in pneumatic systems, such as cylinders, valves, air compressors and other equipment to reduce the noise generated by gas flow, improve the working environment and reduce the impact of noise on equipment and personnel. Pneumatic muffler made of sintered stainless steel powder has the advantages of corrosion resistance, high temperature resistance, wear resistance, etc., and is suitable for various industrial application scenarios.

Some unique advantages of using sintered stainless steel powder in mufflers include:

1. Excellent Sound Absorption: The specific pore structure of sintered stainless steel powder mufflers provides outstanding sound absorption capabilities, effectively reducing noise in gas flow.
2. Wear Resistance: Sintered stainless steel powder mufflers exhibit strong wear resistance, enduring impacts and friction within gas flows, thereby extending their lifespan.

3. High Strength and Stability: Post-sintering, stainless steel powder forms a robust structure with high strength and stability, capable of withstanding pressure and vibrations in gas flow.
4 Precision and Consistency: The manufacturing process of sintered stainless steel allows for precise control over pore size and distribution, leading to consistent sound absorption performance.
What is a pneumatic muffler?
A pneumatic muffler, also known as a silencer, is a device designed to safely and quietly release pressurized air into the atmosphere. These mufflers are commonly installed on various pneumatic components such as air valves, cylinders, manifolds, and fittings. The absence of a muffler can result in pneumatic equipment exhaust producing elevated noise levels, which have the potential to disrupt the environment and pose risks to individuals.
Noise arises during pneumatic exhaust when turbulent high-velocity air exiting a port interacts with the stationary surrounding air. Unmitigated pneumatic exhaust can be likened to an air jet, producing significant noise levels. In industrial settings, airflow exiting through an orifice at a constant velocity results in noise production, largely influenced by factors such as air density, turbulence, and notably, velocity.
Therefore, the installation of mufflers is often necessary to mitigate noise levels. Typically positioned directly at the exhaust port, these devices diffuse the air release through a porous material that increases surface area, subsequently decreasing velocity, turbulence, and noise emissions. Pneumatic silencers have the capacity to reduce noise from pneumatic equipment by 15 to 35 dB[A] compared to unmuffled outlets. A reduction of 10 dB(A) corresponds to halving the sound level, signifying a substantial decrease in noise intensity.
Applications of Sintered stainless steel powder Pneumatic muffler:
1. Pneumatic Systems: Used in pneumatic cylinders, valves, actuators, and other pneumatic components to reduce noise generated during operation.
2. Air Compressors: Installed in air intake and exhaust ports of air compressors to dampen the noise produced during compression and release of air.
3. Pneumatic Tools: Integrated into pneumatic tools such as pneumatic drills, grinders, impact wrenches, and sanders to minimize noise levels during operation.
4. Automation Equipment: Employed in automated machinery and robotic systems to reduce the noise generated by pneumatic actuators and control valves.
5. Laboratory Equipment: Used in pneumatic systems of laboratory instruments, such as gas chromatographs and mass spectrometers, to decrease noise interference during analysis.
6. Automotive Industry: Applied in pneumatic systems of vehicles, such as air suspension systems and pneumatic braking systems, to reduce noise during operation.
7. Aerospace and Aviation: Installed in pneumatic systems of aircraft and spacecraft for noise reduction in pneumatic valves, actuators, and other components.
