This is a 10 μm filter element pressed and sintered from spherical bronze powder. Finished dimensions are 145 mm outer diameter, 95 mm inner diameter, 50 mm height, giving a 25 mm radial wall.
Sintering is carried out between 845 °C and 865 °C, below the melting point of the CuSn alloy. At this temperature the powder particles diffuse into one another and form metallic necks at every contact point, producing a single continuous body of porous metal. The element contains no binder, no fibre, no pleat adhesive, and no separately bonded support structure. There is therefore no internal component capable of separating from the body and entering the downstream flow.
The 25 mm radial wall is the defining design feature. It establishes a long, tortuous filtration path through which the medium must travel, and particulate is retained throughout the wall volume rather than deposited on the outer face alone. This produces a high contaminant-holding capacity relative to the element's face area, and a differential pressure curve that rises gradually over an extended service interval. Where the operating requirement is a controlled filtration plane at minimum wall thickness, that is a different product configuration.
