Porous sintered stainless steel tubes are composed of 316L and 304 powder that undergoes the sintering process, which involves heating the metal powders to bond them together and form a solid structure. This results in a porous metal with interconnected voids or pores, enabling its utilization in various applications such as filtration, gas diffusion, and gas storage.

These tubes provide micron-level precision filtration, effectively separating solid particle impurities from liquids and gases. When the impurities reach a certain thickness, the filter element can be cleaned through blowback, allowing for the reuse of the filter element.
