Stainless steel sintered metal fiber felt is a filtration material made from extremely fine steel fibers (micron grade). It undergoes a sintering process at high temperatures after special non-woven layering and matching, creating a pore gradient with layers of different pore sizes.
The application of stainless steel sintered felt in the battery industry mainly utilizes its excellent mechanical properties, electrical properties and thermal properties to improve the efficiency, safety and life of the battery.

Low resistivity
The low resistivity of stainless steel sintered felt makes it an ideal electrode material, which can effectively reduce the internal resistance of the battery and improve the efficiency of electrolysis.
Higher surface area
Its porous structure greatly increases the surface area of the electrode, increases the active area of the electrochemical reaction, and thus enhances the electrolysis reaction rate.

Mechanical strength
During the electrolysis process, the electrode needs to withstand a certain amount of mechanical stress. Stainless steel sintered felt has high mechanical strength and can maintain structural integrity during repeated electrolysis.
Corrosion and high temperature resistance
Stainless steel woven mesh has excellent acid and alkali resistance and can be used for a long time in corrosive environments. And it can maintain stable physical and chemical properties in high temperature environments and is not easy to deform or damage.
Applications
Electrode material: Due to its high conductivity and good structural stability, stainless steel sintered felt can be used as an electrode material for batteries, especially in high-performance lithium-ion batteries and fuel cells.
Battery separator: Stainless steel sintered felt can be used as a battery separator material, and its excellent air permeability and corrosion resistance help improve the safety and performance of the battery.
Current collector: In some battery designs, stainless steel sintered felt can be used as a current collector to provide higher current density and better heat dissipation performance.
Thermal management: Due to its high thermal conductivity, stainless steel sintered felt can be used in the thermal management system of battery packs to help effectively dissipate heat and extend battery life.
