Products maintenance

A common issue with aerators is clogging of the micro-pores, leading to insufficient or reduced aeration. This problem can be resolved through regular cleaning. Based on several common application scenarios, the cleaning methods are as follows:

 

►For decarbonization filtration in the pharmaceutical and chemical industries, it is advisable to use a combination of backwashing, reverse flushing, and ultrasonic cleaning for better results.

 

►In the water treatment industry, since the surface of the filter cartridge mostly retains non-water-soluble salts and oxides, soaking in a 5% nitric acid solution without ultrasonic cleaning is sufficient to achieve the desired cleaning effect.

 

►For liquid filtration, the cleaning method depends on the chemical properties of the pollutants and can be performed as follows:
Alkali washing: Soak in a 3-5% sodium hydroxide analytical-grade solution at around 40°C for 30-60 minutes, preferably using an ultrasonic cleaner. Rinse with filtered deionized water or injection-grade water inside and outside until neutral, measuring the conductivity. Dry with clean compressed air at a pressure ≥0.4 MPa.

 

►Acid washing: Soak in a 5% nitric acid solution at around 40°C for more than 8 hours, preferably using an ultrasonic cleaner. Rinse with filtered deionized water or injection-grade water inside and outside until neutral, measuring the conductivity. Dry with clean compressed air at a pressure ≥0.4 MPa.

 

►For organic contamination, cleaning with a surfactant is recommended. In the case of cell debris contamination, enzymatic cleaning yields better results (high-concentration citric acid can be used for food and beverage applications).
