Methods of cleaning filter

The stainless steel powder-sintered filter can be regenerated and cleaned by physical and chemical 

methods according to the pollution situation and the chemical properties of the pollutants combined 

with the physical and chemical properties of stainless steel.

 

Physical methods mainly adopt clean liquid backflushing, clean gas backflushing, and ultrasonic 

cleaning. Chemical methods mainly adopt: dilute acids, dilute alkalis, oxidants, surfactants, enzymes, 

and other cleaning agents. The above methods can also be used interchangeably.

 

According to several common applications, the cleaning method is as follows:

 

1. For decarbonization and filtration in the pharmaceutical and chemical fields, backflushing and 

backwashing methods combined with ultrasonic cleaning are used as the best methods.

 

2. In the water industry, since most of the intercepted water-insoluble salts and oxides on the surface of 

the filter is soaked in 5% nitric acid, the cleaning effect can be achieved without ultrasonic cleaning.

 

3. For the filtration of the raw liquid, the following methods should be used for cleaning in combination 

with the chemical properties of the pollutants:

 

(1) Alkaline cleaning: Soak in 3-5% sodium hydroxide analytically pure solution for 30-60 minutes at a 

temperature of about 40 degrees, which is the best in an ultrasonic cleaner. After soaking, flush the 

inside and outside with filtered deionized water or water for injection to neutralize and measure the 

conductivity. Blow dry with pure air ≥ 0.4MPa pressure.

 

(2) Pickling: Soak in 5% nitric acid solution for more than 8 hours at a temperature of about 40 degrees. 

Best in ultrasonic cleaners. After soaking, flush the inside and outside with filtered deionized water or 

water for injection to neutralize and measure the conductivity. Blow dry with pure air ≥ 0.4MPa pressure.

 

(3) Organic pollution can be cleaned in combination with surfactants, and the cell debris pollution 

the system combined with enzyme cleaning is more effective (food and beverages can be cleaned with 

high-concentration citric acid).

 

(4) The above methods can be used alone or in combination with each other. If conditions permit, it is 

best to combine it with an ultrasonic cleaning machine.
