The Wire Mesh Filter With 350-400 Mesh With SUS304
Diameter: 33mm
Length: 100mm
Filtration rate: 350-400 mesh
Type: standard 5-layer sintered structure
Technique: sintering and welding
The wire mesh filter with 350-400 mesh features a five-layer stainless steel wire mesh composite, consolidated through high-temperature vacuum sintering, constructing a three-dimensional labyrinthine flow path within a 1.7 mm wall thickness through a gradient pore design. Unlike traditional single-layer punched plates or woven meshes, this multi-layered architecture eliminates the risk of "secondary weave misalignment" under high-pressure impacts-each wire intersection is metallurgically fused into a rigid monolithic structure, creating a filter medium that combines deep dirt-holding capacity with precise surface retention.
The compact cylindrical geometry, measuring 33 mm in diameter and 100 mm in length, is optimized for filter housings with confined installation spaces. The outside-in flow direction strategically employs the outer coarser layers as a pre-filtration stage, effectively prolonging the service life of the fine filtration layer, enabling stable 350 to 400-mesh high-precision interception with minimal pressure drop penalties.
In terms of manufacturing craftsmanship, we employ full-position full-argon-arc welding (GTAW) technology to apply continuous single-pass welds to all longitudinal and circumferential seams of the filter element. The uniformly robust welds endow the connection between end caps and the skeleton with a strength far exceeding the operational pressure fluctuation range, maintaining zero-leakage boundary sealing even under frequent backwashing or steam sterilization cycles, thereby ensuring absolute filtration boundary integrity.

Products Features

Gradient Composite Pore Architecture
The five wire mesh layers are sequenced from coarser to finer mesh counts in an orderly stacked arrangement, forming a progressively diminishing pore size transition from the outer to the inner layers. This design captures larger particulates at the outer strata and retains finer particles within the inner precision layer, effectively mitigating the "surface blinding" phenomenon common in single-layer meshes. The dirt-holding capacity is increased by 3 to 5 times compared to equivalent-precision single-layer screens, significantly extending maintenance and replacement intervals.
Rigid Sintered Physical Stability
The high-temperature sintering process establishes robust metallurgical bonds at all wire intersection points, endowing the filter element with an independent rigid structure. Under pressure differentials reaching up to 20 MPa, no relative slippage or collapse occurs between mesh layers, maintaining absolute constancy in filtration precision. This inherent rigidity enables the element to withstand severe pressure cycling and fluid surges, conditions under which conventional woven meshes are highly prone to mesh migration.
Low Resistance and High Flow Capacity
The 1.7 mm wall thickness achieves a precise equilibrium between mechanical strength and effective flow area. Benefiting from the high porosity of the outer coarse layers and the burr-free, smooth wire surfaces post-sintering, the initial clean pressure drop is significantly lower than that of comparable industry products. Within the 350 to 400-mesh high-accuracy range, a remarkably high effective permeability is maintained, meeting the process demands of high-flow-rate continuous production.

Full Argon-Arc Welded Hermetic Sealing System
The full-position GTAW process ensures deep penetration and uniform bead formation, with precisely controlled heat input that aligns the grain structure of the weld zone with that of the base metal. The well-profiled weld bead not only provides a visually appealing finish but also, on a microscopic level, eliminates the initiation sites for crevice corrosion, ensuring zero fretting wear or leakage at the interface under elevated temperatures or cyclic loading conditions.
Superior Corrosion and Temperature Resistance
The 304 stainless steel substrate, preserved through the sintering and welding processes, maintains the integrity of its passive film. The filter element operates continuously in most aqueous solutions and oils at temperatures below 80°C, and withstands short-term exposure to hot air or steam sterilization at 150°C. The minimal galvanic potential difference between the welded zone and the parent material effectively suppresses galvanic corrosion, making it suitable for purifying process fluids with moderate chloride ion concentrations.
Full Reverse-Flow Regeneration Capability
With the outside-in filtration direction, contaminants are primarily retained on the outer surface and within the interstitial spaces of the outer coarse layers. This configuration facilitates online cleaning via reverse-pulse gas or liquid backwashing, where the loosely deposited contaminant layer is readily dislodged. The rigid sintered structure undergoes no deformation during backflushing, and filtration efficiency experiences negligible degradation over multiple cleaning cycles, delivering outstanding reusability and economic efficiency.
applications
Medium-to-High Pressure Hydroprocessing Units in the Petrochemical Industry: In hydro-cracking or catalytic reforming processes, catalyst fines and coke particulates entrained in the feed stock require precise interception. This filter element, with its 1.7 mm thick wall offering superior collapse resistance and the 350-mesh fine layer, effectively protects downstream reactor internal components and high-pressure heat exchangers from abrasion and fouling, ensuring extended operational cycles of the processing unit.
Melt Pre-Filtration in Chemical Fiber and Polymer Production: Prior to melt spinning of polymers such as PET and PA, the molten stream contains gel particles and undissolved "fish-eye" impurities. Utilizing the low-shear characteristics of the outside-in flow path minimizes polymer degradation during passage through the filter medium. Meanwhile, the 304 stainless steel construction accommodates high-temperature molten environments up to 280–300°C, ensuring that spinneret orifices remain unobstructed by large particulates.
Gas Sterilization Filtration in Pharmaceutical and Bio-fermentation Processes: In vent gas discharge from fermenters or terminal fine filtration of sterile compressed air, this filter element serves as a high-efficiency pre-filter. The uniformly distributed absolute pore size of the sintered structure effectively captures oil aerosols, water mists, and bacterial aerosols from the air stream. The stainless steel material facilitates online steam-in-place (SIP) sterilization, eliminating fiber-shedding risks and complying with GMP cleanliness management requirements.
Prefiltration Protection for Membrane Systems in Environmental Water Treatment: Upstream of ultrafiltration or reverse osmosis systems, this filter element functions as a security filter, intercepting rigid particulates such as pipeline corrosion byproducts and powdered activated carbon fines. The outside-in filtration design deposits contaminants on the exterior of the element, permitting easy removal through simple flushing, thereby significantly reducing the chemical cleaning frequency of downstream precision membrane modules and preserving the surface integrity of expensive membrane elements.
