2. Control of Wheel Speed and Feed:
Keeping the sand wheel speed and feed speed low helps mitigate the high-temperature rise at the metal-grinding wheel interface, reducing residual stress and improving surface finish.
3. Fire Risk Prevention:
To avoid the risk of catching fire due to oil fog encountered during titanium grinding, the work parts should be soaked in oil, effectively reducing this risk. Alternatively, an anti-rust ammonium nitrite water solution can completely eliminate the fire risk.
4. Effective Cooling:
Using a coolant or cutting liquid with a buffering agent, ceramic binder, or chlorinated/vulcanized cutting oil aids in achieving desirable results. Proper filtration should be implemented to eliminate "fishtail" stains resulting from the recycling of titanium particles.
