Will the stainless steel powder sintering filter element undergo oxidation and deterioration?(1)

Introduction to Maintenance of Stainless Steel Powder Sintering Filter Element

Stainless steel powder sintering filters find extensive applications in various industries such as metallurgy, petrochemicals, textiles, electronics, and pharmaceuticals. These filters are essential components in hydraulic systems and require regular maintenance to ensure optimal performance.

1. Control Hydraulic Oil Temperature:
To prevent rapid oxidation and deterioration of the hydraulic oil, it is crucial to avoid using it at high temperatures. High temperatures can compromise the quality and effectiveness of the oil, impacting the performance of the filter element.

2. Use Stainless Steel Particle Filters for Air Filtration:
Utilize stainless steel particle filters for the air filtration system in the hydraulic station. These filters can effectively remove both solid particles and water contaminants, ensuring the cleanliness of the system.

3. Employ Precision Stainless Steel Filters for Hydraulic Oil:
For maintaining the desired oil cleanliness level, it is recommended to use precision stainless steel filters to filter the hydraulic oil. The pollution level of the oil should be kept below NAS 8 for an extended period. The factory-installed filter element often lacks the required accuracy to guarantee the cleanliness of the hydraulic oil. Therefore, adhering to scientific regulations, the pollution degree in general hydraulic stations should be controlled at NAS less than 8. Servo mechanisms demand even higher cleanliness levels, generally requiring a pollution degree of less than 7. This importance becomes evident when the servo valve is removed, highlighting the necessity of controlling the pollution degree of hydraulic oil.

4. Implement Centrifugal or Vacuum Dehydration:
Centrifugal or vacuum dehydration methods can be employed for the hydraulic oil. With proper control and the use of reputable brands like MOBIL or SHELL, the oil can last up to 5 years. However, it is essential to be cautious of counterfeit oils prevalent in the market.

5. Regular Oil Product Testing:
Routine oil product testing should be conducted to assess its quality and performance. Stainless steel filter elements typically have specific performance characteristics, including rated flow rate, working pressure, filtration area, and accuracy. The accuracy range for filtration is usually 2-200 μm, and the filter material consists of stainless steel woven or punched mesh.

Stainless steel powder sintering filter elements are commonly used for water removal in heavy oil combustion systems and chemical liquid filtration. They are suitable for pre and post-processing systems in electronics, petroleum, chemical, medicine, and food industries. These filters effectively purify water with low suspended impurities (less than 2-5 mg/L). Any blockage, deformation, or scattering of the stainless steel powder sintering filter should be promptly addressed by replacing the affected components. Regular maintenance of the filter not only saves costs but also ensures the longevity of hydraulic equipment. Neglecting proper maintenance, especially with inferior filters, can lead to hydraulic equipment failure with severe consequences. Therefore, it is crucial to prioritize the maintenance and care of stainless steel powder sintering filters. These filters are manufactured using stainless steel powder and undergo mold suppression, high-temperature sintering, and overall molding. They possess advantages such as high mechanical strength, temperature resistance, corrosion resistance, uniform aperture distribution, good air permeability, cleaning and regeneration capabilities, and compatibility with welding and machining processes. The adjustable powder particle size and process conditions enable the production of porous metal sintering filter elements with a wide filtration accuracy range. Owing to these advantages, porous metal powder sintering filters find extensive use in catalyst recycling, chemical industries, and medicine.
