Common titanium tee pipe fittings, because of their small diameter and thin wall, require the parts to withstand high pressure. Casting is not only difficult to manufacture but also its quality cannot be guaranteed. If two straight pipes are welded, because the weld is the intersecting line of the two cylinders, it is difficult to control the blanking and welding operations. Moreover, the parts are small in size and can only be welded from the outside, and the welding quality of the inner wall is not easy to maintain. Even if casting and welding can complete their shape manufacturing, because they will inevitably have pores and slag inclusions during the process, this and process defects are not allowed for medium and high-pressure pipelines.

Use die forging or radial extrusion process to make T-shaped solid bad material first, and then drill holes in horizontal and vertical directions respectively, but the experimental results show that the quality of titanium tee pipe fittings is not easy to maintain. In addition, this process exists There are many processing procedures, large equipment required, and a low utilization rate of metal materials.


Finally, it is decided to adopt straight pipe extrusion molding, put the straight pipe billet filled with filler into the mold cavity, close the upper and lower molds tightly, and then use ejector pins (2 pieces) with the same diameter as the pipe diameter to draw from both sides to the mold cavity. Pushing at the same speed, the titanium tube in the mold cavity must undergo plastic deformation under the pressure at both ends; upsetting or extrusion along the radial hole of the mold.


Because the tube is filled with incompressible filler, upsetting deformation is impossible. Therefore, the straight tube is extruded from the radial hole opened on the mold together with the filler under pressure. In order to prevent the extruded radial tube from Under the action of the internal pressure of the filler, an ejector rod is installed in the radial hole of the mold to apply sufficient compressive stress to the extruded radial branch pipe.


When the extruded branch pipe reaches the size requirement, the mold is opened to take the piece, and the filler is removed to obtain the required titanium tee pipe fitting. Practice shows that the extruded tee pipe fitting has the same wall thickness in three directions, and the upsetting deformation is very small. , the height of the extruded part is 2 to 3 times the diameter of the pipe; in addition, because the filler and the titanium pipe move synchronously in the mold cavity, there is no mechanical scratch on the inner wall of the pipe fitting, and the size and quality meet the requirements of the drawing.
