  • Primary Composition of Titanium Alloy:

Titanium fiber felt is primarily composed of titanium alloy, a highly stable and corrosion-resistant metal. The main component is titanium (Ti), which naturally forms a dense oxide film in the environmental conditions. This oxide film exhibits outstanding corrosion resistance, effectively isolating the material from direct contact with external mediums and preventing corrosion.

  • Protective Role of Oxide Film:

When titanium reacts with oxygen, it forms a dense oxide film (TiO₂). This film is a critical protective layer for the corrosion resistance of titanium fiber felt. The oxide film not only provides effective isolation, preventing the penetration of moisture, acidic, or alkaline mediums but also possesses self-repairing capabilities. When the oxide film undergoes minor damage, it can quickly repair itself through a re-oxidation process, maintaining its integrity.

  • Resistance to Acid and Alkali Erosion:

Due to the characteristics of its titanium alloy, titanium fiber felt performs exceptionally well in both acidic and alkaline environments. This enables it to resist erosion from strong acids and alkalis in industrially corrosive environments such as chemical and refining industries, ensuring stability.

  • Resistance to Salt Spray and Seawater Corrosion:

Thanks to its excellent corrosion resistance, titanium fiber felt has broad prospects for applications in marine environments. It can withstand corrosion from salt spray, seawater, and other corrosive mediums, making it an ideal material for marine engineering and shipbuilding.
