A seamless titanium alloy tube is a type of tube made from titanium, known for its low weight and high strength. With a density of approximately 4.51g/cubic centimeter, it is significantly lighter than steel, weighing only 60% of its counterpart. In fact, certain high-strength titanium alloys surpass the strength of many alloy structural steels, making titanium alloys exhibit exceptional specific strength (strength/density) compared to other metallic materials.
Technical Requirements
The chemical composition of titanium and its alloys in the tubes must adhere to the specifications outlined in GB/T36201. When retesting is required, the allowable deviation for chemical composition should comply with GB/T3620.2.
The outer diameter of the tube must conform to the allowable deviation specified in Table 1.
The wall thickness of the tube should not deviate more than ±12.5% from its nominal value, except for the welds in titanium welded pipes.
The length of the tube should adhere to the guidelines presented in Table 2.
For tubes with fixed or double lengths, the measurements must fall within the range of indefinite length. The allowable deviation for fixed lengths is +10mm.
Specifications for Titanium Alloy Tubes: (φ3-φ219mm)*(05-15mm)*Lmm. These titanium tubes possess lightweight properties, high strength, superior mechanical characteristics, and outstanding corrosion resistance. They find extensive applications in various industries, including aerospace, shipbuilding, automotive, cycling, marine engineering desalination, mariculture, offshore oil drilling, and seawater pipelines.
Additionally, they are utilized in electric power generation, ocean thermal energy conversion power stations, condensers, steam turbine titanium blades, petrochemical and petroleum industries, metallurgical electrolysis and electroplating, light industries such as textiles and paper, medical equipment manufacturing, building decoration, sports equipment production, as well as the creation of everyday items like computers, cameras, watches, glasses, mobile phones, kitchenware, and crafts.
