Cleaning method of titanium filter element

The cleaning of titanium filter elements requires careful attention and can be effectively carried out using the following methods:

Alkali Washing: Alkali washing involves soaking the filter element in a 3-5% pure sodium hydroxide solution at a temperature of around 40 degrees Celsius for 30-60 minutes. Ultrasonic cleaning machines work well with this method. After soaking, flush the filter element inside and outside with deionized water or purified water to neutralize it. Test the conductivity and then use compressed air with a pressure of ≥ 0.4 MPa to blow dry the element. Alkali washing is a commonly used and popular method.

Pickling: Pickling naturally follows the alkali washing process. It entails soaking the filter element in a 5% nitric acid solution for more than 8 hours at a temperature of around 40 degrees Celsius. Ultrasonic cleaning machines are also suitable for this method. After soaking, rinse the element inside and outside with deionized water or purified water to neutralize it. Measure the conductivity and then use compressed air with a pressure of ≥ 0.4 MPa to blow-dry the element.

It is important to note that the above methods can be used individually or alternated with each other. Combining these methods with an ultrasonic cleaning machine can yield excellent results. Additionally, the choice of cleaning method can vary based on the type of pollutants present. For organic matter pollution, active agents can be used for cleaning, while cell debris pollution can be addressed with appropriate cleaning agents. For food and beverage pollution, cleaning with a high concentration of citric acid has proven to be effective.

By employing these unique cleaning techniques, the titanium filter elements can be effectively cleaned, ensuring their optimal performance and longevity.
