The record of 16 tons has become the largest titanium sponge furnace-type product in China.
Zhang Jinbao, deputy general manager of the company, introduced that reduction distillation is the core process of producing sponge titanium, and the size of the furnace is related to production efficiency and product quality. The larger the furnace type, the higher the production output in the same cycle, the lower the cost, the higher the efficiency, and the better the benefit. At present, the domestic and foreign production is mainly about 10 tons. They have mastered the reduction and distillation technology of 20 tons of sponge titanium in a single furnace, reaching the world's advanced level.
China is the world's largest producer and consumer of titanium sponges. Since its establishment in 2013, Xinjiang Xiangsheng New Material Technology Co., Ltd. has adhered to independent innovation and taken the road of "specialization, specialization, and innovation". After the company produced the first furnace of titanium sponge in Xinjiang in 2018, the whole process was put into operation in 2019, and the whole process of large-scale titanium and titanium alloy new material projects with an annual output of 20,000 tons was put into operation. The titanium and titanium alloy materials produced have strong strength, high toughness, and high resistance to Corrosion, and heat resistance, widely used in aviation, chemical, medical and other industries. In 2021, the company also established the Xinjiang Titanium-based New Material Engineering Technology Research Center, and the quality of the large-sized 16-ton sponge titanium lumps produced has been greatly improved.
Zhang Jianfeng, director of the company's titanium sponge factory, introduced that the 20-ton furnace-type titanium sponge titanium balls independently developed and produced this time have a 0A grade rate of 95%. In terms of energy consumption, it is 15% lower than the same industry, and the production capacity is increased by 20%, realizing the green development effect of comprehensive utilization of resources.
