On January 25th, a reception was held at the National Center for the Performing Arts to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and France. President Xi Jinping delivered a video speech, emphasizing the need to deepen traditional cooperation while actively tapping the potential for cooperation in emerging fields such as green industry and clean energy. At the same time, French President Macron delivered a video speech and stated that France is willing to work with China to respond to global challenges and promote the resolution of international crises.
At present, actively deploying clean energy and developing low-carbon green industries have become important strategic directions for various countries, and hydrogen energy has also become a key focus for many countries, including China and France. At present, relevant representative enterprises from China and France have carried out a series of cooperation explorations in the field of hydrogen energy and successfully implemented relevant practical cooperation.
It is understood that in May 2019, the French Air Liquide Group and Chengdu Houpu Clean Energy (Group) Co., Ltd. jointly established Air Liquide Houpu Hydrogen Energy Equipment Co., Ltd. to promote the development of hydrogen energy using the company as a platform; in November 2019 In March, Sinopec and Air Liquide of France signed a memorandum of cooperation, intending to cooperate to jointly promote the promotion and application of hydrogen energy and fuel cell vehicle solutions in China; in May 2021, Faurecia of France completed the acquisition of Shenyang Slinda Ankexin Technology Co., Ltd. will jointly carry out the research and development and market application of hydrogen storage bottles.

In June 2022, France's Airbus China R&D Center signed a contract to settle in Suzhou Industrial Park, combining Yangtze River Delta aviation and hydrogen energy-related supply chain resources to promote the decarbonization of the aerospace industry; in April 2023, China Energy Group and EDF signed a contract The "Expanded Cooperation Agreement between National Energy Group and EDF" plans to jointly build an offshore comprehensive smart energy island demonstration project with "wind, photovoltaic and hydrogen storage" green energy synergy integration in Dongtai, Jiangsu Province, which is the first batch of China-EU energy technology innovation hydrogen energy special best practices. Demonstration item.
According to the prediction of the International Hydrogen Energy Council, by 2050, hydrogen energy will account for approximately 18% of global energy, and the output value of the hydrogen energy industry chain will exceed US$2.5 trillion. With the continued investment in technology research and development and industrial capital, the global hydrogen energy industry will usher in a period of major opportunities for rapid development in the next 10 to 20 years. By 2050, China's demand for hydrogen will reach at least 60 million tons. With the accelerated development of my country's hydrogen energy industry, hydrogen energy will drive the formation of an emerging industry with an output value of 12 trillion yuan in the future.
Under such circumstances, China's economy continues to improve, which has also strengthened French companies' confidence in long-term development in China. It is believed that in the future, not only in the hydrogen energy industry, China and France will also strengthen cooperation and development in more aspects, which will further heat Sino-French economic and trade cooperation.
